Kanab day 2

We drove thru awesome scenery thru Zion Canyon.  While it was located very close to Bryce Canyon the experience was very different.   At Bryce we drove to a high elevation and looked down at all of the rock formations which included many towers.  At Zion we started high and drove down into the canyon.  The rock formations, especially at the beginning, were massive with checkerboard lines.

We met Charlie and Cece Harrington in La Verkin for lunch then drove back to Kanab via rt 59 that was south of the canyon giving us views of the mountains from a different perspective.   We stopped at Pipes Springs National Monument for a little tour.
