As we were leaving town we noticed we were low on gas, as we're starting towards the White Sands Missile Range. Miles and miles of nothing. We made it to just north of this area with less than 2 gallons of gas left. Lesson learned...
A little detour to Roswell to look for UFO's. No sightings. The town has certainly capitalized on their notoriety! Lots of green aliens near store fronts and an International UTI museum. We drove around town a bit so Robert could reminisce- this is the town he thought of moving to 20 years ago.
Between Roswell and Carlsbad we saw acres and acres of pecan groves.
Tomorrow we'll check out the Caverns National Park.
